Kyubey noticed Madoka's hidden potential that she is able to become the most powerful mahou shoujo if she just make a contract to kyubey. Kyubey is responsible for creating all the masou shoujos.

| Homura Akemi |
One time when Madoka and Sayaka went shopping Madoka heard a voice in her head asking for help. She rushed to find the voice and finds kyubey being chased by Homura Akemi so she helped kyubey escape.

| A Witche's World |
Madoka and Sayaka were dragged inside the world of a witch while Homura was pursuing them. They panicked and got confused because their surroundings suddenly changed. There were lots of unknown creatures around them they were scared.
Tomoe Mami -Using her powers
Mami Tomoe found the two of them being chased by the minions of the witch so she used her power to eliminate the minions. That's how Episode 1 ended.
